To All Our Guests,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our web site. Second Harvest Food Bank of the Chattahoochee Valley has been meeting the needs of the hungry for over 23 years. Many have asked "What does Second Harvest Mean?" The idea of a second harvest comes from a biblical text in Leviticus.

"And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field to its very border, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the LORD your God."
Leviticus 22:23

Our Food Bank gathers that "second harvest" from the abundance of generous food donors and strong community support which in turns reaches out to neighbors in need. I invite you to join me in being a fellow gatherer, learn more about us and the work we do, make a contribution of time, financial support or food and pray for us as we continue in this good work.
